Elliw Gwawr

Elliw Gwawr has worked as a journalist at the BBC for 18 years. As a political correspondent she has worked in Westminster and the Senedd, interviewing political leaders and covering some of the biggest political stories of recent years.

She is a regular contributor to Wales Today and Newyddion news programmes as well as on Radio Wales and Radio Cymru. Elliw is most proud of her work on stories uncovering sexual abuse and bullying in politics. She is a passionate advocate for equality in society, and a champion for women and girls’ sport. She volunteers with the local cricket club and has rediscovered gymnastics as an adult.
