Celebrating Women in Adventure
We were proud to come together at Yr Egin for a powerful and inspiring evening celebrating women in adventure sports in Wales.
This bilingual event – brought together voices from across sport, the arts and the outdoor community to explore lived experiences, shared challenges and the collective opportunities to better support and celebrate women in adventure.
Hosted as a collaboration between Cymru Women’s Sport, Yr Egin, the Outdoor Partnership and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, the evening reflected the strength of partnership working and a shared commitment to inclusion, representation and connection.
The programme featured a thought-provoking panel discussion, exploring what it means to be a woman in adventure sport today, alongside a film screening that captured the power of storytelling in amplifying diverse experiences. The conversations were open, honest and energising, creating space for reflection, learning and celebration.
Just as importantly, the evening offered time to connect with others passionate about sport and the outdoors. From students and practitioners to creatives and community leaders, the room was filled with people keen to listen, share and build new connections across Wales.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, contributed to the discussions and helped make the evening such a success. We are delighted to share a selection of photographs from the event below, capturing the energy, warmth and sense of community that defined the night.
We look forward to continuing these conversations and building on the momentum to ensure more women feel seen, supported and inspired within adventure sport across Wales.
