Celebrating record attendance

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of joining forces with our friends at Women of Union for an inspiring event hosted by the Welsh Rugby Union — expertly compered by the brilliant Laura Jane Jones.

Held in the heart of Welsh rugby, the event brought together women from all walks of the game: players, coaches, officials, supporters, and advocates. It was a powerful reminder of the strength and solidarity within our community, and a celebration of how far we’ve come — and how far we’re determined to go.

At Cymru Women’s Sport, we were thrilled to share our mission to break down the barriers that still exist for women and girls in sport across Wales. From grassroots access to representation at the highest level, we’re working to ensure that every girl has the opportunity, support, and visibility she deserves.

Events like this are about more than just conversation. They’re about connection, collaboration, and action. Together with Women of Union, and with the support of the WRU and passionate individuals across the country, we’re building momentum toward lasting change.
